Autoreport v0.4.1 Release Notes

Release date: 2026-04-05

Autoreport v0.4.1 continues the v0.4 line instead of jumping to v0.5. This release makes the screenshot-first manual procedure flow the clearest public path, strengthens the release-facing guide, and adds repeatable browser verification around that hosted experience.

• A stronger release-facing guide with reusable Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude insert examples
• Browser verification added to the release readiness check for the hosted manual flow

What users will notice

On the public homepage, start from the built-in manual procedure starter, keep the AI prompt comments attached when drafting elsewhere, use Refresh Slide Assets, upload the required screenshots beside the matching slide previews, and then select Generate PPTX. If a deck needs arbitrary template inspection or broader image-backed authoring, move that run to the debug app or CLI instead of widening the default homepage contract.

Output format

• The public web demo returns autoreport_demo.pptx as the immediate download filename

Current limitations

• This release keeps the product in the v0.4 line; it does not claim a broader new v0.5 contract surface yet

• Publish the refreshed guide and updates through the normal release workflow
• Add a public downloadable sample deck once the release asset is hosted
• Keep hardening the v0.4.x manual flow before deciding whether a larger v0.5 surface is warranted
